WWW5 Paris Conference Accessibility Workshop Description
The World Wide Web has been publicized as the interface that will "be all things to all people". This workshop will focus on design and development requirements involving web content, tools, browsers, and applications for one of the largest populations in the world...people with disabilities.
This year we are pleased to be conducting the first in a series of workshops in conjunction with the W3C and INRIA at the 5th International World Wide Web Conference in Paris, France.
Workshop Objective- The objective of this workshop is to bring assistive technology consultants and professionals, Webmasters,
internet service providers (ISPs), Web and Web application designers, content design engineers, and Web publishing tool
designers together to collaborate on World Wide Web accessibility for people with disabilities.
The workshop program is organized
as an open forum that will focus on developing a strategy for designing accessibility
into the Web core environment. To accomplish this, participants will discuss
Web accessibility technology that is:
- Currently available (and how to use it)
- In development (and how to access beta releases)
- Required for future development
